There Is Nothing Wrong With You
-
Cheri Huber is a Zen teacher in California. Her books are the clearest explanations of what Zen is all about but more importantly how it relates to modern, urban living. Her writing along with the illustrations for the book, by June Shiver, make them a delight to read. If a bookstore near you carries this and her other books then their buyer is "enlightened." Don't wait, click on the title, read the reviews on Amazon.com and then buy it for yourself!

The World's Religions
-
This is the only book on Comparative Religion to read in our estimation. Huston Smith's writing is superb. He manages to be completely neutral yet totally engaging for each of the religions that he covers. You are practically converted time and again as he tours each religion in history and contemporarily. This book was originally written in the late 1950's and updated recently to have inclusive language. It is in a word "awesome."
